The Foreman's Dozen story

The trade line has barely changed since 1948: First Strike's splint in a stiffer box, packed a dozen to a carton with a tally card the foreman signs off each Friday. Workshops order by the standing quarter. The works ships the same week every quarter whether anyone asks or not, which the trade calls 'the Strikewell clock'.
