The small print, human-sized
Policies
The house rules in plain language: what this site is, what it stores, and what it sells (nothing).
This is a portfolio site
Strikewell & Sons Match Works, Falkenmoor, every person, date, price and plate here is invented for a web design portfolio. Nothing is for sale, no order can be placed, and no email or form submission goes anywhere: every form is a demonstration with a disclosure on it.
What the site stores
One thing: your light or dark theme preference, in your browser's local storage, under the key sw-theme. No cookies, no analytics, no trackers, no third-party requests. Forms run entirely in your browser and send nothing.
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA
Keyboard navigable throughout, visible focus states, skip link, semantic landmarks, alt text and labelled controls, contrast-checked palettes in both themes, and every animation disabled under reduced-motion settings.
The words and pictures
The site's text and artwork are the portfolio's own. Type is Anton and Public Sans, both under the SIL Open Font License, self-hosted from this site. The label gallery plates are original recreations in a period style, not scans of real archival material.
